My first job was working for a subsidiary of Nat West bank, Centre-file, in 1979. I joined them as a trainee computer programmer after declining a job at the BBC as a trainee Studio Manager based on parental advice! Having “learned the ropes” as a fledgling developer using archaic languages including Cobol, Pascal and Assembler. During my time at Centre-file I worked through the ranks over 8 years to become a System Analyst.
I left Nat west in 1987 to become a partner in an IT company called R & D Associates which provided Accounting Software including : Pegasus, Multisoft, Tetraplan and Sky Software. A few years later Sky Software was acquired by Sage Ltd which was my introduction to working with the rapidly growing company based in Newcastle.
I decided to ‘go it alone’ in 2004 and formed M2M Technology, originally based in Harlow. Our main office and training centre is now based in Chelmsford with our accounts office being located in Harlow. We recently opened an office in London (Near Liverpool Street) and have continual expansion plans.
My belief is that our customers are the most important part of our business and we try to reflect this in our service levels by going beyond the call of duty on most occassions. In my spare time (when there is any) I try to enjoy time with my family, running, looking after my horse (Barney) and by playing keyboards in a function band which is my passion.
